How to Buy a Website | Video

I created about a 15 minute video on some basics on how to buy a website. I am not totally happy with it but it does the job .

Here are some of my rough notes that I show on the video:

• Check PR / is it real?
• Domain created data (whois) - how long archived?
• Check ownership
• Consistency of traffic and revenue
• Indexed pages in Google
• PR makup of links / any .edu or .gov links? / Paid Links
• Cache dates of primary top pages
• Sitemap / Index?
• Adsense? Placement - can I improve by 25% or more?
• Is the sale price over 10x monthly revenue?
• Can I maintain the site? Template? PHP/MySql
• What is the potential for adding a blog or forum?
• Any good affiliate program?
• What does it rank for naturally?
• Is it tied to any linking schemes?

There is more to do depending the sale price. But you can to the above in under 30 minutes. I usually do it in under 10 minutes. Enjoy.
