Social Bookmarking - Instant Traffic Boost

There has been a lot of chatter of increasing traffic for new sites while sitting in the Google sandbox. Here is what I have been using and testing lately with some real good results:

• Stumbleupon - great for traffic / may get backlinks.

• Social bookmarking, sites such as del.icio.us and reddit - can be good for traffic / will get backlinks.

I am attaching two images that shows some nice spikes in traffic that is largely from these two methods. Now what you do with the traffic is up to you .

Now not all sites will get this kind of spikes. You will need to study these tools to see what people like to read to ensure that they will click on your link / site. And you also get some nice deep backlinks to your site if done right.

Remember NOT to abuse these great tools - and spam will always get filtered out eventually.

I have bookmarked these sites, but the problem is....Is it a targetted traffic? Immediately after joining these sites, my traffic was doubled, but there was no revenue from them. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it targeted? Well that depends on how you use the social bookmarking sites. It can be if done right. Is it good for Adsense - I think marginally. Can it be good to build a list - better than Adsense? If you have really good content, you'll have repeat readers which is a better use of social bookmarking.
