Default Counter Doesn't start at zero

I've installed the hit counter and it starts at a huge number, not zero.
I'd like to know how to change whatever's required to start at zero.
I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks

You will need to login to your account and then you can change the starting point for your counter. You can also check to just count unique IP addresses.

Actually, the login is not integrated yet. So your user name and password may be different. Check your email when you signed up for the counter and the password is there.
