Trump Taj Mahal Hotel - A Recent Trip to Atlantic City

We just took my family and folks to Atlantic City or as my son kept on saying "Atlantis". I haven't been town there for a few years so I didn't know what to expect. I suppose I was hoping for better changes overall since I was last there. My impression prior to the trip was NOT that great in terms of food, atmosphere and gambling.

Well my impression has not changed after the trip. The one aspect that I did like was the change to the Garden State Parkway. I guess the changed how the tolls were collected to reduce the number of stops. It was great and it only took about 2 hours to get there from Bergen County.

First the buffet at the Taj - we just stinks. For $27 per adult and 12.50 per child over 4, the food selection was poor and the taste wasn't much better. The desserts were okay though.

The entire place looks run down including the Broadwalk. Even though the Broadwalk has a few piers geared towards kids, I don't recommend it. It was very expensive and the rides were so-so. I guess the only aspect that was good was that it was not crowded.

So as we left Atlantic City, I don't think we will be coming back for a very long time.
