Why I Registered to Vote (Obama Effect)

This is one of the weirdest aspects of why I finally decided to register to vote again. I guess people are calling it the Obama effect. People are so passionate about him that decide to go out and vote.

Well for me. I finally registered to vote to vote AGAINST him.

Look don't get me wrong he is a great speaker and can obviously inspire people. This is one important aspect of any good leader.

My main beef is that I am a capitalist and am against giving the Government any more of my hard earned money. Especially when they have proven that they can't get crap done and largely inefficient in delivering services. I am not saying that we don't need the Government to be involved but I rather it be limited. Capital markets tend to be efficient.

Obama is at his heart a socialist. Just listen to what he says. It sounds great but how will it effect my pocket book. According to him, I am part of the weathy class. Let me tell that living in the Northeast with four kids it is hard to be wealthy unless you are making some serious change.

Also, I just don't think he is battle proven. This is why I think McCain is the person that I will vote for. I not a big fan of his but he is battle proven and faced some serious challenges in multiple aspects of his life. And he does follow through on what he believes.

What an interesting year in politics and no matter who wins this has re-engaged me and a lot of other people in politics and that is a good thing!
