Default How to Use PPC for Affiliate Marketing

I have read a lot of blogs and journals just to keep up. The hard part with all of this is the balance of staying informed while keeping on you main battle plan to make money. It is so easy to get distracted in this business.

Anyway. Wickedfire is a great growing forum that I encourage everyone to visit. The admin there Jon started a great thread about how to get started in affiliate marketing using PPC. It is recommended reading:

I made a blog post highlighting the main ideas, really just the gist of things about how to use PPC marketing to your advantage. I left out a lot of small details from the original post before I put it on the blog, but that's because I didn't want to bore people with excessive detail. Anyhow, if you guys have any questions drop them in here..

The post - (original source - Super Affiliate Marketing Blog)

So word has it that I haven’t made many good posts lately that help people make cash. Well, I agree, so here’s how you can make some bank quickly and easily without breaking the bank too. Let’s take a quick look at Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing and see how underrated it is and how you can seriously make some cash without getting too wrapped up and hung up on the usual things that stop you from moving forward.

1- Create a site. If you don’t know how to, well, get someone to do it for you. It’s not that hard, hell, even I can do it and I am a retard when it comes to tech/design stuff. ...

Jennifer - the main blog that I read is Aaron Wall's blog. And I find that hard to believe that you don't know any relevant ones yet given that you are in the industry.

Nice share admin, i have to say be careful with PPC always check it through with your affiliate manager first if you are running campaigns through cost per action etc. Some of these campaigns do not allows PPC traffic such as Google Adwords. The last thing you want is to earn all that money and then have it wiped clean as it has violated the TOS of the affiliate network!

Most affiliate marketers are turning to paid search for providing traffic which they require in order to generate revenue. But this is a highly competitive area & lots of care should be taken while working in this field. It is not easy to find merchants who will be able to provide a good return on your investment of time as well as money. There are many who spend a lot of money but get very little in return. But if you get it right, PPC is an immensely powerful as well as rewarding way to create revenue for yourself. Find a merchant who is likely to convert well. Most of the good merchants operate only in specialist areas. Thus they are highly familiar with the market conditions as well as the product areas which perform well. It is best to start with a product area of your interest. There are various networks which publish data regarding merchant EPC (Earnings Per Hundred Clicks) as well as conversion rates. To get the best out of your PPC for affiliate marketing, use a combination of this kind of data as well as your own market knowledge and intuition. This will guide you towards lucrative PPC revenue.
Look at the web site carefully. See how good their product range is & whether you would buy from them yourself. Also see if the website is user friendly & easy to navigate. Work your way around the web site as a buyer. In case you are put off, others would be too. Work out the financials. The merchant's commission structure should be able to support your PPC activity. Even if the products look good and the site is wonderful, but the margin that you will be earning has to be good too. Find out the average basket size as well as the site conversion rates.

One can directly send PPC traffic to merchant, this thing is quite easy to carry because for this no website is required and one can start with minimal cost but still high traffic. This is considered as a best method for beginners who even don't have any web development knowledge.
