One of the maxims that I follow in life is an old Buddhist saying:
Quote:

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

If you read this
post, you find many who are believing a statement at face value without asking more questions. In reality, the internet does not operate in a perfect vacuum so therefore testing must be done many times to validate a point. I left a comment that a better experiment now that the page is ranking is to put the link back and then see if the page does not rank again.
Don't believe what you read unless it makes sense to you!
Update: Patrick replied back to my post but to be fair you should read his reply on his site. I am not sure I quite 100% agree with him but I understand why he is not going to change anything.
